WHAT IS AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT?
The resort is all-inclusive, so you won't need to worry about paying for anything once you arrive. This means that all food, drinks, entertainment, and taxes are included with our room block through our travel agent. We recommend bringing cash to tip the wait staff and a credit card that does not have international usage fee to participate in activities such as: excursions, spa treatments, golfing, shopping, etc.
WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK MY ROOM?
Rooms must be booked by January 10th, 2025. A $100 deposit will be due for every person in a room and will be applied to your room. After you've paid your deposit, you will have until February 15, 2025 to have a $0 balance.
CAN I STAY AT A DIFFERENT RESORT?
No, all guests must stay at the Hard Rock.
DO WE HAVE TO BOOK THROUGH YOUR TRAVEL AGENT?
YES! In order to attend our wedding events and receive a group discount, you must book through our room block. You can access our room block by contacting Aimee Byrd anytime in regards to room rates and your vacation travel plans or you can find our booking link under "Resort Pricing and Booking Link"!

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF NIGHTS THAT I MUST STAY?
All guests MUST stay a minimum of 3 nights.
WHAT DATES SHOULD I BOOK?
We recommend traveling Thursday April 24th - Sunday April 27th or Friday April 25th - Monday April 28th, but you are welcome to make your trip shorter or longer!
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Travel insurance is optional, but we HIGHLY recommend it. This will cover any unforeseen circumstances that can occur while in Punta Cana. This can be purchased at the time of booking with our travel agent, Aimee.
CAN I USE A PAYMENT PLAN TO PAY OFF MY ROOM?
YES you can! After paying your $100 per person deposit, you will be able to pay as much or as little as you want until February 15, 2025.
DO WE HAVE TO BOOK FLIGHTS THROUGH YOUR TRAVEL AGENT?
No, guests are able (and encouraged) to book flights on their own. The only thing that must be booked through our travel agent is your room. You can purchase your flight with any airline of your choice. Many airlines allow you to split your payments into installments through companies such as AFFIRM, Uplift, and PayPal.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL?
A valid passport, with 6 months validity after travel, IS REQUIRED for travel to the Dominican Republic. This means your passport must expire AFTER November 1, 2025. We recommend applying for a new passport 6 months prior to travel, some states are taking 3 to 5 months to receive their passports.
WHERE WILL THE CEREMONY BE LOCATED?
The ceremony will be located outdoors. If there are any weather changes, we will be moved to a covered or indoor area.
CAN I RECEIVE A DISCOUNT USING MY AARP OR AAA MEMBERSHIP?
Booking with our wedding group rate is the cheapest rate offered.
CAN WE BRING OUR CHILD(REN)?
Absolutely, children of all ages are welcome!
IS IT OKAY IF WE DO THINGS ON OUR OWN?
YES!! While the wedding is what brought us all to Punta Cana, we want our guests to treat this as a vacation too! Aside from our wedding festivities, feel free to explore outside of the resort or enjoy the activities and amenities the resort has to offer.
CAN GUESTS TAKE PICTURES DURING THE CEREMONY?
NO, we know current cellphone cameras are great, but we have confidence that our photographer will go above and beyond to capture all of our magical moments. During our ceremony we request that guests 'unplug'. Find a seat and enjoy our ceremony with us, camera free.
IS THERE WIFI AT THE VENUE?
Yes, there is free room and resort wide WiFi.
DOES THE RESORT PROVIDE ANY ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS?
Yes, the resort provides a variety of daily activities, nightly entertainment, and live entertainment.
HOW SHOULD WE CONTACT YOU WHILE AT THE RESORT?
We recommend downloading and setting up the app "Whatsapp" BEFORE leaving the US. This is a free texting app that allows you to communicate while international. If you have an iPhone you can communicate through iMessage without being charged international fees. Call your cell phone provider prior to leave the U.S. to inquire about international calls.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Swimwear, party attire, wedding day attire, sandals, sunscreen. LOTS of sunscreen, it is very expensive to buy at the resort.
ARE GUESTS EXPECTED TO TIP SERVICE STAFF?
While tipping is not expected at the resort, it is very appreciated. If you feel the staff has gone above and beyond, please feel free to show your gratitude. One US dollar ($1) is equivalent to ($54.42) Dominican Pesos. Therefore, $1 goes a long way!
ARE GIFTS EXPECTED?
Absolutely not, your presence is the best gift of all!!
